Become a Friend and be part of the story.

Get even closer to our work and support the evolution of this magical artform by joining the OperaUpClose family.

As well as the knowledge that you are supporting the next generation of opera makers, performers and audiences, all Friends receive opportunities for priority booking, invitations to pre-show talks, and exclusive updates through our quarterly Friends newsletter.

A regular donation, from £5/month, will make a crucial contribution to the day to running of the organisation and enable even more people to get up close and immersed in the power and wonder of opera.

£25 can support the provision of printed and bound scores of our new work for all artists, or enable a facilitator in an early years workshop

£50 can support a creative team member (director, music director, composer or librettist) for a research & development workshop, or help towards the training of an Early Career Associate Artist

£75 can support a performer in role preparation and rehearsal, or contribute to high-quality short films and trailers giving behind the scenes insight to all our work.

£5 can support rehearsal expenses for a production - including vital tea and biscuits! - providing creatives, performers and production team with the best conditions to make excellent work

Become part of our circle of passionate individuals to support and enable our brilliant new programme of work, taking classics through the looking glass in a bold series of  reinventions.

The Reinventions Circle will give you exclusive access to the whole process of developing a trio of new interpretations, beginning with Vaughan Williams’ Riders to the Sea, with invitations to workshops, rehearsals and engagement events; as well as sneak previews, priority booking and your name in published materials including the full score and libretto.

Through an annual gift of £2,000 or £167/month you can join us on this journey and play a crucial part in platforming innovation, excellence and the best emerging creative talent through this magical artform.

Leave a Legacy

Remember us in your will.

Any gift, large or small, will help sustain our mission to make opera intimate in scale, mighty in impact and play a vital part in a rich and varied eco-system for the whole sector.

Gifts that are unrestricted are the most powerful, as they will allow us to invest in the most pressing stategic priorities and exciting creative opportunities available at the time the gift is received.

However, should you wish, it is possible for you to specify how you would like the contribution to be used for example supporting our operas for Early Years.

If you have decided to make provision for a gift to OperaUpClose in your Will we would love to be able to thank you, and to make sure that we know exactly how you would like your donation to be used.

If you choose to tell us that you have decided to remember us in this way we undertake to act with discretion and to ensure that anything you tell us is treated in confidence, unless you are happy for it to be made public.
